Welcome to ScottishFrogs...

The Scottish frogs website has formed from research being carried out as part of a PhD project. The research is interested in local adaptation to climate in Scottish common frogs. Common frogs are found from sea level to over 1000m on the Scottish mountains. How different populations of the same species can inhabit such different environments can offer an insight into the impact climate change will have on their survival. This study is a collaboration between the University of Glasgow and the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland.

The Scottish frog blog will be used to post videos, photos and accounts of field work carried out as part of this research on the Scottish mountains. Photos and interesting stories sent to the website will also be shared here. The blog will be added to frequently, so please subscribe to follow our progress.
